In the nearly 10 years that I’ve been professionally writing about food, private food blogs have become ubiquitous. There are blogs in every imaginable niche, and blogs with no niche at all. The one thing that separates a good blog from a poor blog (among amateur blogs), is stellar writing and amazing photography.
This blog, my first endeavor, began with its maiden post in September 2009. It seems so long ago that I sat down, with a cranky baby nearby, on the heels of a closed business, to write. It seemed, at the time, that I had been writing and cooking in tandem for years, and so blogging was a natural extension of my two passions.
And now years later, I’m still at it. I’ve been writing professionally since 2009, and while my bread-and-butter job is to write about restaurants for a national company, I also write for other blogs, online magazines and publications, print media, and everything in between.
You see, I’m uniquely positioned to write about food – I was a professional chef, too, for about six years before that business kicked my figurative butt. Want to work hard, REALLY hard? Be a chef and business owner.
Now I’m tucked into a cozy chair with a heated blanket and fingers that are ready to type amazing content for you. If it’s about food, restaurants, the latest culinary trends, ethnic cuisines, food history, diets, and anything else even remotely connected to food, then I’m the writer for you.
